World Arts Today magazine is a non-profit arts news organization with tax-exempt status, 501(c) (3). As a public charity, we rely on grant funding, sponsors and public and private donations.
The magazine began in 2009 during the decline of print journalism when there was a pressing need for new media to lead the way in reporting the arts with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. Our creative vision is to provide independent and original arts and cultural journalism that enhances the public good and benefits communities and people everywhere.
Our mission is to report on the vital role the arts plays in an informed society, to improve the quality of arts and cultural journalism and elevate the level of public appreciation of, and participation in, the arts. We help to advance the arts in the public domain by providing independent reporting for the public good to benefit communities around the globe. We recognize that the arts contribute greatly to the economy, through tourism and economic development, to education and other areas of our society. We promote and participate in public policy discussions that affect the arts and culture, and the communities and people they serve.
The magazine has an all-female board of directors with stellar experience in the arts, business and management. (Please see the About section for our board of directors bios.)
Our readership continues to grow by leaps and bounds in North American and across the globe thanks to your support.
Please consider making a tax exempt contribution to our organization to help support the reporting of the arts and the vital role it plays in our everyday lives. Thank you.
